Guild Wars: Temporary tweaking
Well, the testing weekend is underway, with a phenomenal list of skill tweaks and major changes to Heroes' Ascent. It's going to take a while just to read the skill changes in detail, never mind figure out the implications. Note that the changes are only in effect for this weekend.

The change removing "evade" from the game is permanent. That's a pretty big one, if you ask me. Although probably long overdue.
Um, what am I doing reading your blog when I could be playing in the new new Tombs?
Shield of Absorption's nerf has got me rather upset.
1-sec cast is quite a shock.
Seems the Rit is facing yet another major buffing--but will this make people want to dabble with it any more? AB still says they're quite unpopular.
ANet hit it right on the nail with B.Surge though--10 nrg seems reasonable.
But hey, why fix a good thing? I thought the metagame was fine as it was (speaking from a pro-AB-monk perspective--I haven't dabbled in much else so far).
And yeah, after all this commotion settles down, everyone will only really remember the bye to SoH.
Not as many surgical ganks--I like that.
And oh, almost had this one slip me by--Beguiling Haze now Shadow Steps to foe, is interrupted and Dazed for 5...10 seconds.
Will it replace Shadow Prison? Oooh, interesting times. Just giving more reasons to hate my job :D
SoA was due for a nerf - it was a must-have skill on every monk bar.
The only ritualists you were seeing in serious PvP outside of gimmick Soul Reaping builds were Rt/E ganker support characters. The profession definitely needed a buff and post-tweak it's looking pretty hot.
The BSurge change was right on the money. It's pretty pricy to run on a secondary (e.g. a lot of mesmers had it) but it's fine on an ele with air attunement.
Shadow of Haste was basically removed from the game - I think Izzy figured that people were sick of playing against teleway.
Beguiling Haze is clearly too good, bordering on ridiculous, as listed on the weekend and I expect it will be nerfed a little from the proposed listing.
